Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela has said that there is no cause for concern at the club after a disappointing result against Maritzburg United.
With Amakhosi facing an embarrassing defeat against the struggling Team of Choice, they managed to force an unlikely 1-1 draw with a goal in the seventh minute of second half injurt time at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.
Despite being last in the Premiership currently, Maritzburg went toe-to-toe with Chiefs throughout the match and will be justifiably disappointed to have dropped two points right at the end after a poor showing from the Soweto giants.
Masilela has called on the Amakhosi faithful not to panic as they are still in contention to retain their league title this season.
“It was bad that we had to come back and just draw the game. Our aim is to win the games which we play, but at times it’s very tough. It’s sad we drew against Maritzburg, but nothing is lost yet. We just have to come back strong after the break and collect as many points as we can,” Masilela told Soccer Laduma.
