Victor Anichebe


Victor Anichebe’s goal save the day for West Bromwich Albion in their match against Liverpool.

The former Everton striker  came on as a substitute in the 63 minutes for Saido Berahino, take advantage of an error made by Liverpool defender Kolo Toure to draw his side level in the 66 minutes of the match.

The Nigerian international 25, renowned for his physical strength joined West Brom from Liverpool ash rivals Everton in the summer of 2013 for a reported fee of 6 million pounds, started off from the bench for the Baggies who are battling to get off the relegation side of the table.

Anichebe who will be one of the potential talent for the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer, admitted his motivation for his performance was inspired by his former Everton friends. I was sitting on the side itching to get on. I got a text from one of Everton’s masseurs, jimmy comer, saying “help us do the reds today.” He said.
